About the WPSL:
The WPSL is an independent national league whose main focus is on the development of highly competitive women's soccer teams. The league has successfully created an environment that allows elite woman soccer players to play, develop and promote women's soccer at the highest amateur level in North America. The WPSL has shown itself to be a proving ground for many athletes who went on to become household names. Many former and current U.S. and International National Team players have played on WPSL teams including: Julie Foudy, Brandi Chastain, Kristine Lilly, Joy Fawcett, Abby Wambach, Shannon Boxx, Leslie Osbourne, Shannon MacMillan, Keri Sanchez, Sissi, Jennifer Molina, Monica Gonzalez, Nozumi Yamago and Tisha Venturini.
