SC del Sol is committed to placing as many players in college as possible. With that in mind we have developed the College Advisory Program (CAP) for its high school age players to assist in their preparation to play college soccer. Through written materials and classroom sessions, the program is designed to assist and supplement the efforts of our players, their families, guidance counselors and coach to help prepare for the college experience, work through the recruiting process and find the “best fit” college.
Our coaches have placed hundreds of players in college programs and some of our staff members have coached at the highest levels in college athletics. Our coaches will be able to assist you with information on what the coaches are looking for in college athletes and the things that you or your child will need to do to “play at the next level.” We believe that there is a college that fits every player both academically and athletically, and we will work with our players to find that match.
Tony Colavecchia heads up our CAP program and is hands on with all players and families that are part of the CAP program. Tony has coached at all levels of the game and was a college coach for 20 years. Our program is delivered through group meetings, team meetings and individual tutorials that leave no stone unturned. Feel free to contact Tony Colavecchia @ 623.414.9049.
SC del Sol has joined forces with Revolution Prep to provide our players with the latest in state of the art educational tutoring. Playing college soccer is as much about academics as it is about being a good soccer player. Our goal is to create well – rounded student athletes who are able to meet the demands of both soccer and school.
