Elite Clubs National League

The Elite Clubs National League, of which SC del Sol is a founding member, is the elite competitive national league for youth female soccer players in the United States. Founded in 2009, the league’s purpose is to provide the highest level of competition and the best developmental environment for American female youth soccer players, as well as providing an identification program for the U.S. Soccer’s Women’s National Teams.

In its inaugural 2009-10 season, the ECNL consisted of 40 of the top female youth soccer clubs throughout the United States. After a period of expansion the ECNL now includes the top 66 female clubs in the US. More importantly, the ECNL also expanded the competition platform to approximately 30 games per team, so that ECNL environment will be the primary competition for these 66 clubs and their players. Additionally the league has enhanced and developed its player ID program, its national scouting system and its college recruitment network.

The impact on the Women’s Youth National Team rosters has been significant. In May of 2012 the WYNTs were comprised of the following ECNL players:

U14: 30 ECNL players on a roster of 48
U15: 17 ECNL players on a roster of 24
U17: 23 ECNL players on a roster of 24
U18: 19 ECNL players on a squad of 24

SC del Sol is proud to have been invited to participate in the ECNL and takes its place alongside such national powerhouses as Colorado Rush, Dallas Sting, FC Stars of Mass and Eclipse Select of Chicago. This is a truly a great honor for the Club and recognizes the great strides and achievements the girls’ program has made over the last few years. It provides our players with the highest level of competition and enables them to showcase their talents in front of hundreds of College coaches at top level events all over the country.
