Former SC del Sol players in NCAA play

The ASU women’s soccer team play this Friday night in the first round of the NCAA tournament. It has been a great season so far for ASU and its two former SC del Sol players, Cali Farquharson (Sc del Sol 94) and Mckenzie Berryhill (SC del Sol 93).

Head Coach Kevin Boyd: “Both of these players have made a significant contribution to our program this year and I could not be happier particularly as they are local players. I feel that they were extremely well prepared for college soccer coming in to the team and that speaks volumes for the SC del Sol women’s program.”

Farquharson was recognized by the Pac-12 after proving to be the difference maker in many ASU games this year. She was awarded All-Pac-12 honorable mention and Pac-12 All-Freshman Team by the conference. Achievements so far this season for Cali:

  • Tied for the team lead in goals this season (9) and led the team in points (22).
  • Tied the single-game school record with three goals and also added a pair of assists to set the single-game school record for points (8).
  • She became the third Sun Devil in school history to score three goals in one game and the second one to do it as a freshman.
