SC del Sol joins forces with Banat

For immediate release, May 6th, 2014, Phoenix, AZ

Soccer Club Del Sol (SC del Sol) and Banat Soccer Club are excited to announce that the two clubs have reached a management agreement where SC del Sol will be providing its management expertise to help Banat Soccer Club continue to prosper and grow on the west side of Phoenix.

This is not a merger and there will be no combination of SC del Sol and Banat teams. This new management agreement does not change the team or coaching structure at SC del Sol at all.

In light of the new agreement, Banat Soccer Club will be officially changing its name to ‘SC del Sol Banat’ and will be playing in the new Puma branded SC del Sol uniforms for the upcoming season.

The SC del Sol Banat coaches will follow the SC del Sol curriculum and receive regular coaching clinics from the SC del Sol pro staff.

Mark Lowe, Executive Director, SC del Sol:

“Banat is the premier organization on the west side of Phoenix and has enjoyed considerable success over the years. We have always enjoyed a friendly, professional rivalry with them and are excited to welcome them to the SC del Sol organization. We look forward to working with the Banat coaches and players and providing them with the unique development opportunities that a Club like ours brings.”

Alan Watson, Director of Coaching, Banat SC:

“We are excited to be associated with a club like SC del Sol that has such a formidable state and national reputation. Access to the SC del Sol coaching curriculum and exposure to its national programs like ECNL and NPL, will hopefully take our coaching staff and players to the next level.”

SC del Sol is a 501 c3 organization based in the North Phoenix, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley areas. The Club has 48 competitive teams and a full-time coaching staff. It is home to more than 700 male and female players of all abilities ages 4-18.
