LiFe Foundation

 

LiFe Foundation is a newly established non-profit corporation in Arizona and has been approved by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity.

The LiFe Foundation's mission is to provide professional and financial support to SC del Sol to develop Mental and Emotional Health resources for the Athletes, Coaches, and Parents of the club. Our joint goal is to develop complete athletes on the field and confident, well-adjusted young adults off the field prepared to handle the challenges of life.

​

The LiFe Foundation's vision is to develop an effective and sustainable program to address and improve the mental and emotional health needs of young athletes and their parents and coaches. This program will be continuously reviewed by certified psychologists for its benefits and impacts and will be modified as necessary. The Foundation will secure sufficient long-term funding to sustain and expand the program.

The L and F in "LiFe" stands for former beloved SC del Sol players Luc Treadwell and Freddie Torres, who we tragically lost in recent years. We hope Luc and Freddie's names will continue to live on through the foundation by helping others.

4th Annual Freddie 5K

Please save the date for the 4th annual SC del Sol Freddie 5k in partnership with the LiFe Foundation on Wednesday, November 12th, at Scottsdale Sports Complex.

The event will celebrate the life of Freddie Torres, a former SC del Sol MLS NEXT player who tragically lost his life on November 15th, 2021.

The race will start at 5:30 pm, and all SC del Sol players are expected to participate. The event is open to all club members and the general public.

After the event, there will be fun activities, live music, refreshments, and an auction.

The funds will also be utilized to aid players who are facing financial difficulties, a cause that is deeply important to Freddie's family.

Additionally, the funds raised will be utilized to support the LiFe Foundation's efforts in establishing and maintaining a successful and long-lasting program to cater to the mental and emotional health requirements of young athletes.

All participants will receive an F5K bracelet.
